PART 4: UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
Tears streamed down my face as my three daughters stood together on stage, holding hands and bowing their heads in unison.
The entire crowd rose to their feet, filling the hall with a deafening standing ovation that drowned out Clarissa’s hasty retreat out the side doors.
She realized then that no amount of money could ever buy the eighteen years of pure, unconditional love she had so carelessly thrown away.
After the ceremony, my girls rushed down the steps and threw their arms around me, burying their faces against my chest.
“You gave us everything, Dad,” Gabriella whispered, squeezing my hand tightly. “You gave us a life full of light.”
Standing there surrounded by my strong, brilliant daughters, I knew every sleepless night, every hard shift, and every sacrifice had been worth it.
We didn’t need anything else in this world—we had already built the richest, most beautiful family imaginable together.
