Lily stood firmly at the podium, her confidence radiating through the packed university auditorium.
Clarissa smiled smugly from the front row, expecting our daughter to publicly validate her grand return and accept her wealth.
“Eighteen years ago, a woman abandoned three helpless babies because she thought vision was required to see love,” Lily’s voice echoed clearly across the room.
“She thought our father couldn’t give us anything, but he gave us the only thing that mattered—his absolute, unwavering devotion.”
The entire audience went completely still, thousands of eyes turning toward Clarissa, whose triumphant smile began to falter.
Lily reached under her graduation gown and pulled out an envelope, holding it high for everyone to see.
