PART 3: The Eviction
“You used an emergency key to enter my home uninvited,” Kenny said, standing tall between his mother and our children. “You put a sixteen-year-old blind dog on a busy street because he minorly inconvenienced you. And then you sat at my table drinking coffee while my wife panicked.”
Diane’s face flushed red. “I am your mother! You don’t speak to me like that over an animal!”
“No, Mom,” Kenny replied, rolling her suitcase straight toward the front door and setting it on the porch. “You were a guest who was tolerated. But today, you proved you have zero respect for my family, my wife, or the lives in this house.”
He tossed the emergency key onto the hood of her car outside.
“You’re leaving. Right now. And you will not be coming back.”
