Part 3: How to Identify and Check Accessing Apps

• Swipe Down for Details: Swipe down from the top of your screen to open the Quick Settings shade; an icon will show precisely which feature (Camera or Microphone) is active.
• Identify the Specific App: Tapping the green indicator or notification banner immediately reveals the exact name of the application currently using your hardware.
• Revoke Access Instantly: If an unexpected app is using your mic or camera, you can tap directly on the notification to revoke its permissions right on the spot.
• Review Privacy Dashboard: Head to your phone’s Settings > Privacy > Privacy Dashboard to see a full 24-hour timeline of every app that accessed your sensors.
