PART 3: THE DESTRUCTION OF AN EMPIRE
Celeste’s mother rushed forward from the crowd, her face twisted in panic as she grabbed her daughter’s arm.
“Mr. Vale, please!” the older woman begged, her voice shaking. “Celeste didn’t know! It was a childish mistake—a terrible accident!”
“An accident is spilling a drink,” Eve spoke up, stepping forward beside her husband, her posture now straight and commanding. “Ripping another woman’s clothes off to humiliate her in public is malice.”
Sebastian pulled out his phone, making a single, deliberate call while keeping his eyes fixed on Celeste.
“Cancel the Mercer-Vale investment contract with Rowan Enterprises immediately,” he instructed into the receiver. “And inform our legal team that we are filing charges for assault and public defamation before the night ends.”
Murmurs rippled through the elite crowd as several high-profile donors immediately stepped away from Celeste and her mother, cutting ties with them in real-time to avoid the impending fallout.
Celeste dropped to her knees right on top of the ruined silk, finally realizing that her arrogant cruelty had just wiped out her family’s entire legacy in less than five minutes.

PART 4: A DIGNIFIED RECKONING
Security guards arrived promptly, escorting Celeste and her weeping mother out through the side doors of the venue, away from the flashing cameras of the press outside.
The foundation chairman stepped up to the microphone at the head table, officially introducing Eve as the master designer behind the charity’s newest international initiative.
The ballroom erupted into genuine, resounding applause as guests lined up, not to seek favor with a socialite, but to offer sincere apologies and admiration to Eve.
Sebastian took Eve’s hand, placing a soft kiss on her knuckles as they walked toward the stage together.
“You didn’t have to ruin them for me,” Eve whispered with a gentle smile as the crowd cheered.
“I didn’t ruin them, my love,” Sebastian replied, looking at her with boundless pride. “They ruined themselves the moment they mistook your grace for weakness.”
Standing together under the golden chandelier lights, Eve and Sebastian turned their focus back to the cause that mattered, stronger, more united, and completely unshakeable.
