Clara’s father, a powerful industrial tycoon, grabbed the top sheet of the document directly from his daughter’s trembling hands. His eyes scanned the laboratory seal, reading the DNA results aloud for the entire hall to hear.
The official paternity test proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that Julian was not the biological father of Clara’s child. Furthermore, a second document revealed that Valeria’s unborn child was indeed Julian’s legitimate heir.
A collective gasp echoed across the grand ballroom as the guests realized the full extent of the deceit. The elaborate baby shower had been built on a total lie to secure the tycoon’s fortune.
Clara stood completely paralyzed, her face drained of all color as her father turned his icy gaze toward her. Julian stared at Clara in utter disbelief, realizing he had been manipulated into abandoning his true family for a fraud.
Valeria stepped forward calmly, her voice carrying across the silent, shocked room. “You thought you could strip me of everything and take my place, Clara,” she said softly. “But the truth always finds its way to the light.”
