PART 2: THE REVELATION
The officer pulled out a small, metallic badge and a specialized high-ranking federal agent identification card from the Internal Affairs Bureau.
His eyes widened in absolute horror as he read the title printed across the top: Senior Inspector Victoria Sterling, Department of Police Accountability.
The second officer dropped his jaw, stepping back as his face drained of every drop of color.
“You… you’re Internal Affairs?” the first officer stammered, his confident voice instantly disintegrating into a frantic whisper.
Victoria turned slowly against the side of her car, her cold, unyielding gaze locked onto the man holding her badge.
“I’ve been conducting undercover spot-checks in this county following dozens of complaints about rogue officers shaking down drivers,” she said calmly.
“And you two just failed every single legal and professional standard on camera.”
