PART 3: THE BUSTER OPERATION
Victoria stepped free as the handcuffs clicked open, rubbing her wrists before taking her official credentials back from the paralyzed officer.
“This road has been under investigation for three weeks following dozens of complaints regarding illegal stops and extortion,” Victoria said, adjusting her sunglasses. “You passed every test of corruption with flying colors.”
Sirens suddenly echoed down the quiet country highway as three unmarked black SUVs tore around the bend, kicking up dust as they surrounded the patrol car.
Over a dozen federal agents spilled out of the vehicles with weapons drawn, instantly commanding both traffic officers to drop to their knees and place their hands behind their heads.
The second officer began to plead for his job, swearing he was just following orders, but the federal agents paid no attention to his desperate excuses as they applied real restraints.
