The high-powered flashlights swept across the damp, cavernous hull of the abandoned vessel.
In the center of the dark chamber stood a massive, makeshift enclosure built from reinforced steel bars and heavy iron chains.
Inside the enclosure, two glowing eyes reflected the beam of light, followed by a low, ground-shaking growl that chilled the officers to the bone.
A massive, starving Bengal tiger, hidden away from the world, was pacing back and forth across the blood-stained concrete floor.
Lidia fell to her knees at the entrance, weeping quietly as the officers instinctively drew their weapons in sheer terror.
