THE SECRET HEIRS

PART 3: THE TRUE HEIR TO CASTLETON

“When you divorced me five years ago,” Naomi explained calmly, “you forced me to sign a blanket surrender of all marital assets in exchange for your family’s founding trust.”

“You thought that trust was bankrupt and worthless, Roland,” she continued. “You didn’t realize it held the original land deeds to Castleton Heights.”

Roland’s breath caught in his throat as his personal attorney rushed forward, hurriedly scanning the official court papers in Naomi’s hands.

“She’s right, Mr. Ashby,” the lawyer whispered in horror. “The trust was tied to the children’s birthright. By throwing her out pregnant, the entire estate defaulted to her trust.”

The senator’s daughter threw her bouquet onto the ground, staring at Roland with utter disgust before turning on her heel and walking away from the altar forever.

“You built your entire empire on land you no longer own,” Naomi said softly, looking down at the husband who had once abandoned her.

Roland fell to his knees on the manicured lawn, the weight of his arrogance finally crushing him in front of the city’s entire elite class.

“Naomi… please,” he begged, tears finally welling in his eyes. “We can work this out. Think of our family! Think of our children!”

Naomi looked down at him without a single trace of hatred, only total clarity and freedom.

“I have been thinking of my children for five long years,” she replied softly. “And today, they finally know who their mother really is.”
