Clara lowered the paper and looked up, her tears shining under the bright stage lights as her gaze locked directly onto mine in row twelve.

Sophie stepped up beside her sister, tears streaming down her cheeks. “He gave up his twenties, his thirties, and his own dreams so that three little girls would never feel abandoned for a single second of their lives.”
Ava stepped forward last, pulling a set of official legal folders from beneath her podium folder. “So today, on the day we complete our education, we have one final gift for him.”
