PART 2: THE DRIVEWAY CONFRONTATION

Malcolm’s sleek luxury sedan pulled up the circular driveway late Monday afternoon, his new bride laughing beside him in the passenger seat.

He stepped out of the car with a smug grin, carrying two oversized bags of tropical souvenirs from their lavish week in the Bahamas.

His smile instantly vanished when he inserted his key into the grand front door, only for the lock mechanism to spin uselessly.

When he looked up, he noticed a massive yellow foreclosure and transfer sign staked squarely in the middle of his manicured front lawn.

Before he could pull out his phone to call me, a moving van pulled up behind his car, blocking him completely on the driveway.

A team of workers began unloading his personal items onto the pavement in heavy cardboard boxes marked for immediate removal.
