My husband married another woman using my money, but when he came back from his honeymoon, the mansion he planned to share with her was already gone.
I built this life. Every brick. Every account. Every zero on every check. Malcolm just walked into it and made himself comfortable.
For nine years I paid for the car, the club, his mother’s bills, the house in Cedarbrook Estates with the circular driveway he loved to be photographed in front of. I thought that was what love looked like.
Then one night, scrolling my phone after closing the biggest deal of my career, I saw the photo. White dress. Cream suit. My husband’s face, smiling in a way he never smiled at me.
Standing next to him was a woman who worked two floors below me in my own company. His whole family was in that photo. Smiling. Celebrating. They all knew.
My husband had married another woman. With my money. While he was still legally married to me.
I didn’t scream. I didn’t cry. I called my lawyer at eight o’clock that night and said four words that changed everything: “My husband got married.”
By the time his flight landed back home, the locks were already changed. The title was already transferred. And the mansion he planned to bring his new bride home to… was already gone.
But that was only the beginning of what he was about to lose.
