The lawyer paused, turning to face Russell’s children, whose arrogant expressions were beginning to fracture.
“To my children, who spent my final years measuring my wealth instead of spending time with me: you assumed I was being fooled. But I kept a ledger of every conversation, every ignored phone call, and every attempt you made to access my accounts before I was even gone.”
