“Ah, Julian,” Adrian began smoothly, extending a hand to his supposed business partner. “I assume we’re here to finalize the merger capital?”
Julian didn’t reach out; instead, he slowly turned a large high-definition monitor toward the two uninvited guests.
The high-definition video recording played with crystalline audio, filling the room with the sound of Adrian’s harsh voice and the unmistakable impact of his slap.
Celeste’s face drained of all color as the directors gasped, watching the horrific footage unfold in absolute, undeniable detail.
“You attempted to coerce, assault, and steal from the primary owner of this corporation,” Julian stated, his voice echoing like thunder through the silent room.
Before Adrian could utter a desperate excuse, the side door opened, and I stepped into the boardroom wearing a tailored suit, completely free of my wedding dress.
“Welcome to my company, Adrian,” I said quietly, sitting at the head of the table. “I believe you were interested in my shares?”
