“She was supposed to be incapacitated!” Patricia shrieked in desperation, pointing a trembling, manicured finger at me as the officers placed her in handcuffs.
“I designed the security for this entire estate, Patricia,” I said calmly, stepping forward with my head held high. “Did you really think I didn’t design a back door?”
The media, tipped off by the legal filing, had already gathered outside the gates, filming the disgraced family as they were led away in police cruisers.
Every contract, every investment, and every commercial partnership associated with Daniel’s firm dissolved within hours of the arrest being made public.
He had tried to lock me away to steal my legacy, only to ensure that his own family name was permanently ruined in front of the entire world.
