Detectives dispatched a team to the florist’s shop while cyber-crime investigators reviewed the store’s high-definition security camera footage from earlier that morning.
The video revealed a tense scene: two armed men standing directly behind my husband inside the shop, forcing him to pay for the arrangement while holding a weapon concealed beneath a jacket.
My husband had intentionally requested yellow roses and meticulously placed three red ink dots on the inner petals while the captors were distracted by the cashier.
He knew that white roses were my preference and that receiving yellow ones would immediately trigger my suspicion and prompt me to count the petals carefully.
