By mid-afternoon, Douglas arrived at the corporate offices of Arrowhead Distribution, flanked by his mother, expecting to push his way past security and demand an explanation.
Instead, the glass lobby was lined with senior board members, external forensic auditors, and uniformed officers holding formal legal notifications.
“You have no authority to lock me out of my own office!” Douglas yelled, his voice echoing across the pristine marble floor as employees watched from the balconies above.
Daphne stepped forward calmly, pulling out a certified stack of corporate registration documents that clearly listed me as the hundred percent sole owner and founder.
“You were an employee, Douglas—a Vice President of Logistics with limited signing authority, which you systematically abused,” Daphne declared firmly.
Cynthia’s face turned bright red as she realized that every luxury trip, designer handbag, and monthly allowance Douglas had showered on her had been drawn directly from fraudulent corporate accounts.
Before Douglas could utter another word, the lead auditor handed him a formal demand for immediate asset recovery, freezing every account connected to his name.
