THE BLACK BOX

PART 4: FREEDOM AND REDEMPTION

As the police led a handcuffed Arthur out of the sanctuary, my father slumped into his pew, realizing that Vance Crest Holdings would be seized by investigators before nightfall.

Sienna stood alone at the front of the ruined church, stripped of her pride, her public image, and the false life she had tried to build on my pain.

Ten miles away, my phone rang. It was my mother, her voice trembling and full of panicked tears as she begged for my help to save the family name.

“You told me if I showed my face, I was no longer your daughter,” I said calmly into the receiver. “I respected your wish. I stayed away.”

I hung up the phone, placed it face down on the table, and took a deep breath of the quiet afternoon air.

With my stolen shares legally restored, the criminals exposed, and my name completely cleared, I finally reclaimed my life, stepping into a future defined by my own strength and peace.
