Part 4: How to Prepare a Simple Rice Water Toner
You don’t need to leave a comment to get the “secret recipe”—here is the basic, safe way to make rice water at home:
- Rinse Thoroughly: Take 1/2 cup of uncooked rice (white, brown, or jasmine) and rinse it thoroughly with clean water to remove dirt or impurities.
- Soak or Boil: Soak the clean rice in 2 cups of distilled water for 30 minutes (or boil it in excess water and strain the starchy liquid).
- Strain and Cool: Strain out the rice grains completely and let the remaining cloudy liquid cool down.
- Apply and Store: Apply the liquid to clean skin using a cotton pad as a gentle toner, and keep the leftover solution refrigerated for no more than 4–5 days.
